Aubert became very interested in using alternate software programs to create pieces of design, such as GIMP and Microsoft Excel. In 2006, she published a book called '16 Months Worth of Drawing Exercises in Microsoft Excel'. To produce her work, she creates new worksheets which are set up as various grids and works over these using colour, pattern, border styles, comment boxes and type to create her image. This body of work has also appeared in various magazine, such as ID, Wired and Metropolis.
