OUGD603 - Guidebook - Eco Printing

Eco-printing is a process that refers to the act of directly applying plants to textiles to alter colour, apply colour and create interesting designs. "Natural dyeing" is a component, as everything used is natural, such as flowers, leaves, bark, bugs and roots, etc.

Since much of the development of the town was inspired and designed with the Arts and Crafts style, and the publication's design itself being influenced by this movement, a movement which involved a lot of natural imagery, it was thought that eco-printing could be experimented with in terms of process to create Arts and Crafts style printed paper which could be utilised within the publication itself or for the cover design.
