Initially it was thought that the colours should be consistent across both patterns in order to bring them both together as part of the event, alternating the arrangement of these colours between both patterns so that they are consistent but still prove to be slightly different. However, it was unsure whether these colours worked effectively in representing the nature of cells.
Question: What colour variation works best for the cell pattern?
- Makes more sense to use the blue colour variation for the cell pattern in its links to the quote suggesting that our DNA is essentially a blue print for our behaviour and traits.
- Does it matter that the colours are different for each pattern? No, the two should be distinguishable from each other as the two sides of the debate.
- Whilst the blue works most effectively to represent its links to the quote used to inspire the design concept, this also still works to show one of the typical colour schemes used to represent human cells in more photographic imagery.
- In the initial banner designs, the colour schemes would work better if the type is more balanced across the length of the banner in covering more of the solid colour space.
