OUGD603 - Penguin Student Design Award - Final Three Cover Designs In Context

In terms of producing these three books as a series, it was thought that this was not appropriate, since all three books are very different in their genres and themes and therefore attempting to make them consistent in their designs was considered would limit the concepts and design production of each of these covers and not communicate the right message. However, one consistent element that has unconsciously been utilised throughout all three books is the use of illustration in their designs which can be seen to tie all three books together in terms of their style.
