OUGD503 - Pitch A Papergang - Audience and Market Research

Market research was conducted in order to ensure that the designs are developed in a way which would most appeal to the Papergang and Ohh Deer’s target audience. Creative director of Ohh Deer describes this audience as people who love art, fun and contemporary stationery. The products aim to play on things which the audience might accessorise with their own lifestyle, such as unusual and quirky elements to support people who are not afraid to be who they want and embrace their individual identities. More specifically it was found that the products are mainly aimed towards an older generation of stationery lovers, such as teenagers, young adults and artists. Based on this it was therefore important to think about what I myself would personally like to receive within a stationary subscription service box to produce something which would hopefully resonate with the appropriate audiences. This could be done through the use of relatable and witty imagery which would enhance the engagement of the audience and their interest in the products.
