OUGD603 - Creative Convos - Photographic Promotional Poster Experiments

Since finding out a few of the confirmed speakers for the event, it was decided to experiment with promotional posters using photographic imagery, which was manipulated to feature the same halftone dotted effect as part of the logo design and the original background. However, this effect paired with photographic imagery was found that this means details in the photographs are lost.





Another variation was produced, using a different halftone style, which allowed for more detail to be present amongst the photograph, however this effect was not as consistent with the halftone used on the logotype. Based on these experiments, photographic imagery was proving to be hard to work with, and so has was decided amongst the group after discussions to potentially lose the imagery for the promotional posters, and simply utilise photography more for social media developments.
