- Favourites varied amongst the feedback group, however as a concept it was thought they all worked well to communicate an original interpretation of the brief and book, which avoided making the obvious links to space as the focus point.
- Locker idea - The continuation of the lockers from the front to the back and through the spine was liked, however this was also considered by one to potentially limit the type on the spine. The image could be scaled down slightly so that it doesn't overlap onto spine and the type can be made bigger, but the design still continues on both front and back covers. Or, potentially just keep the hinges of the locker on the spine.
- Experiment with the title coming out of the locker, this could be an interesting variation and better reflect the idea of notes posted into the lockers.
- Try using a bolder typeface for the title, the illustrations perhaps overpower this slightly.
- Try a variation of the lockers using the colour blue used on other design developments.
- Chalkboard idea - The blue, black and white colour scheme on these developments was thought to work most effectively, but play around with this on the other developments, especially the exercise book idea. The blue provides good subtle links to the original book cover designs.
- Exercise book idea - The simplicity of this design was thought by some to work well on the cover, whereas others thought there should be more doodles. With too much space around the current doodles, the placement of these was thought to perhaps look too carefully considered which would not be the case for a student doodling on their book (one or two doodles, or a lot - no inbetween stage).
- Try an all black variation, both type and image.
- Try physically handwriting the note on the back cover, could make this look even more personal.
- Other idea - Could try developing an idea which communicates August's vision through his astronaut helmet.
