OUGD406 - Studio Brief 04 - Concept Crit

Based on feedback of our initial concept, it was shown by peer students that a shopping guide would be a useful thing to have received during freshers week, which would give them an indication of how much food they need to buy for specific meals and offering tips on the process of cooking these. The main pieces of feedback we gained included:

• Cut holes and/or shapes out of the booklet in order to represent portion sizes.
• Lazer cut thin plastic.
• Use basic shapes/keep very minimal, screen print these onto thick card.
• Include tips, such as how to boil an egg.
• How to save money, such as 2 for £20 spirits during freshers.
• Look at existing students' shopping experiences.
• What was the first thing you bought during freshers week?
• Think about stereotypical ideas and views, such as vegans.
